Mighty Brain with Magnesium

Magnesium assists in more than 300 vital human functions. Many of us are short on our supply of magnesium. Scientist’s agree increasing magnesium improves brain function. It Prevents synapse loss and decreases memory decline. That is lovely news for “Ageless Baby Boomer Women!”
Magnesium rich foods include pumpkin seeds, lima beans, spinach, black-eyed peas, almonds, shredded wheat cereal and yogurt. I also suppliment when I go to bed with a chelated magnesium suppliment of 250 mgs. It helps a person sleep, it is a natural muscle relaxer.

Fountain of Youth!

There is a simple thing you can do to build collagen in your body. Add collagen powder to water, orange juice, soups & smoothies. A scoop a day will not only improve your skin, hair, and nails, it can help with joint stiffness. I was using it for quite awhile and then got out of the habit. I am anxious to get started on it again. For me, it worked very well. I just ordered some today. The brand I bought is NeoCell. I have also purchased Sports Research collagen powder. www.neocell.com has recipes for adding the powder. You can put it in just about anything!

Skin Products Search

I stumbled upon an app I love called “Think Dirty”. You can scan the bar-code on skin products. It will tell you how dirty or clean the product is as far as if it has chemicals you may not want to put on your skin. Some are surprises and some not so much. Presently they have over 800 products in their database. I was sad to see some things I use are quite toxic so I will be changing some of the items I use.
